I am passionate about tutoring because I love to work with students to help them achieve their goals and prosper. I am lucky that academics have come pretty naturally to me, so I want to share some of the tips and tricks that have helped me with other students. I have five years of experience tutoring middle school students, and I have also taught 1st graders in the past. I usually tutor math ranging from elementary school up to Algebra 2, but have also tutored biology, Spanish, and helped with essay-writing. In my tutoring sessions, I emphasize practice and autonomy to help the students learn material without me doing the work for them. I like to help them understand why a certain process or mechanism works. I can't wait to get to know my students! :)

Some of my hobbies include running and cooking. I also am a big sports fan (Go Cubs! Go Irish!). I love to spend time outdoors, go for walks, and hang out with my friends. A fun fact about me is that I have been to all 50 U.S. states, and love each one of them for different reasons!
