My various experiences in PK through Adult teaching and tutoring, coaching teachers in classrooms and through the certification process have led me to attaining this goal for my students and myself: - With certifications in Elementary and Special Education, and Educational Administration I have had the privilege of working in many disciplines, though my specialties have been in the area of Language Arts and behavior management. - When I retired from the State Department of Education with the job title of Distinguished Educator, I began tutoring and co-managed a tutoring center. As a co-manager and tutor there I facilitated individual growth in students' learning to read as well as reading to learn and raise test scores on standardized tests at all levels. I witnessed students' belief that they could learn and that learning was, at least sometimes, an enjoyable activity. - My focus is always on showing students what they already know and how it leads to what they need to know. - EDUCATION SUPERPOWER: ANALYZE AND DISCOVER STUDENT LEARNING STYLES AND ASSIST THEM IN MAKING CONNECTIONS TO SUCCESSFUL TEST-TAKING AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT.

- Reading, reading. reading across various genres. - Writing (currently on 300+ page first draft of a novel. - Design and color in clothing, home decor, and nature. - Issues that concern the health and well-being of myself and my family and everyone across the world.
