About Me

I am an online ESL teacher for children ages 2 to adult. I have earned a BS degree in Psychology and Elementary education. My experience entails five years developing a computer assisted instruction program in a middle school setting. Due to high demand, this program blossomed into a large tutoring program with entailed recruiting additional support from local college students. I managed the program and the college students who helped support students academically. This position was very rewarding. Life circumstances changed when my child developed a chronic illness. I decided to leave this position and homeschool my children. I returned to college for Psychology and then spent the next decade as a "Mental Health Practitioner." I also directed a children's crisis center. I am passionate about developing skills to improve ones life. I have worked with children and adults with various mental health diagnoses to include Autism, anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD to name a few dx. I am in my element when teaching time management, coping skills, problem solving skills, meal planning, or even counseling a person to make it through a tough day. What it all comes down to is that it is all about teaching. Since I have a child with type 1 diabetes, that has stimulated my passion into eating healthy. I have earned Wellness and other health related certifications to increase my knowledge to help others. I am passionate about learning new things. I have spent twenty years developing programs and bringing ideas to fruition that have helped others improve their lives by educating. I would love the opportunity to support you!
