I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Educational Leadership. I also have a certification as a Reading Specialist. I was an elementary classroom teacher for 31 years and an online ESL teacher for 4 years. During my time in the classroom, I consistently had the highest state testing scores in my district both in Alabama and Florida. I am currently in a new position as an Education Coordinator at a behavioral health center. My true passion is teaching. I believe that all students can learn. I enjoy evaluating a students' strengths and weaknesses and using those weaknesses in learning to foster their growth as a student. My reward as a tutor is to make learning become something a child WANTS to do. I want to instill a joy in lifelong learning in every student. I enjoy tutoring elementary reading, math, grammar, writing, and study skills I enjoy spending time with my two adult children, watching sports, going to the beach, and amusement parks.
