I completed my education at Texas A&M University and the University of Phoenix. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business-Hospitality Management and my Masters of Business Administration (MBA). I am extremely passionate about education and personal growth and strongly believe that an educated world is a better world. If I can help with that mission in any way, I'm excited and motivated to do so. Since I was in elementary school, I was always the "go-to" girl to help others in my class. I have found that I have a natural gift for helping people feel good about themselves (kids and adults alike) and have translated that gift in my work as a tutor as well as my career. Although I am knowledgeable in many academic areas, my favorite subjects are English and Mathematics and I have found that my excitement about these subjects is why I am so successful in helping others improve in these areas. I cater my teaching style depending on each student's learning style. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, camping, and music.

I received my High School Diploma from Little Elm High School, Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University at Galveston for Maritime Administration. While enrolled, I have tutored many of my peers in Accounting, History, and Economics. I prefer to be teaching Accounting or History. I have found in my experiences as a tutor, that the best way to learn a subject is to constantly review the material and do practice questions occasionally throughout thee week. On the lighter side of things, I am a avid sports fans: Go Cowboys!

I have loved to learn since I was a child. Like a sponge, I cannot seem to soak up knowledge fast enough. After high school I attended Brigham Young University and majored in Business Management with an emphasis in Strategy. While at BYU I served in my class presidency and as a study body officer for the university as a whole. After BYU I earned a Master's degree in Health Care Management from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, graduating at the top of my class.Following a successful undergraduate and graduate career, I have found that I still love to learn. I have also developed a love of seeing others learn and succeed. As a tutor this is my goal: to inspire and encourage others in their own educational pursuits. With previous tutoring experience at the collegiate level, I have developed techniques and strategies to help students perform their very best. Every student learns differently and I work to tailor the tutoring experience to their needs. I believe that every student can successful if we can find the right tools to assist them.I tutor in Accounting and other business subjects. I am currently a senior at Baruch College in New York City. At Baruch, I am working on a Bachelor of Economics degree, which I will have completed by May of 2016. I have received an Associates in Arts and Science as well as a Minor in English. I have a study strategy in which I learn subjects in class to the point where I can explain it to someone who has never heard of it before. I have found that this way of studying has not only enhanced my learning ability, but it has helped other students receive high grades as well. Ever since High School, I have always been one to help out others who struggle with the material taught in class. In college, I have helped numerous classmates understand course material as well. I have led multiple study groups in an effort to not only learn by teaching others but to have the opportunity to see my peers succeed as well. I genuinely enjoy seeing students who I have helped get the grades that I know they are truly capable of.

I am a highly experienced tutor who has worked with a wide variety of students of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with the NO Child Left Behind Program in NYC schools, tutored regents, test Prep, homework and many academic subjects for middle school, high school and college. I am an MBA graduate of Pace University in NYC and have a CPA license as well as post MBA education. Over the past twenty years, I have held senior financial management positions in major NYC based companies and currently serve as Comptroller for a large organization. While comfortable teaching English and Math test prep and Regents prep for a wide range of exams, over the past year, I have worked quite a lot with ISEE, SHSAT, SSAT and Algebra students. From the first diagnostic that I give to my students, I quickly develop a strategy to work with them on to improve their performance, test taking ability and understanding of their weakest areas.I am also a certified personal trainer and believe strongly in the adage "A sound mind in a sound body." Culturally, I appreciate music, art, theater, film, dance, museums, reading, lectures and travel. I am incredibly proud that my twin daughters graduated from Ivy League institutions and are independent young women.

My approach is all about helping the student understand "Why" something works the way it does and not just "How".
