I was born in South Africa, lived in Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, England before moving to the US for my undergraduate studies. I have a BA in Biochemistry, MA in Cell Biology and former MD/Ph.D. (Molecular Cell Biology) trainee at Washington University in St. Louis . I have taught biological sciences and physical sciences and Math classes for over 10 years. My teaching style is first to identify the knowledge gaps in a student, and then lead them to fill in the gap by using the Socratic method . I emphasize conceptual mastery over content mastery. Once I identify the learning style of my student, I develop a customized lesson plan and study schedule tailored to it. My goal is to empower the student to think more independently and critically, and my biggest reward is when do eventually.I have taught MCAT (both old and new MCAT) classes for over 10 years, both privately and when I previously worked for test prep companies Kaplan and Princeton. I have had over 200 students and who are compliant with the personalized schedule I design average 512.5 or better. My main strategy (besides timing which is the MOST important on the MCAT), is getting students to think more about the "how" and "why", and less of the "what". The MCAT is critical thinking exam and my goal is to get every student to internalize the material and apply it conceptually. Thanks for reading and best of luck in your search for a tutor.Cheers!Lincoln

Let's do this! Science might be complicated - but guess what! It is even more fun! If you are looking for a good balance of socials & science, keep reading.I love to help people. No matter what - not just science or teaching. But to improve your life quality with my gifts. We are made to help each other and together we can master the challenges of life!I am a chemist from Germany and got married in Dallas in 2019. It was a big step and a lot of change. Sometimes the thought about it overwhelmed me but I knew: If I want to marry this woman, I have to start with small steps to be prepared for this "one big step". Similar to exams in school. You might be overwhelmed thinking about your next or final exams. But here is the deal: Just do it. Let us learn together!I helped other students while I was still in High School. Even in university I taught - it was a great experience and I always got great feedback. I love to learn and improve. I love to see which questions others have and think about what my answer would be.Primarily, I want you to enjoy the time we will spend together. The things you learn will be part of that joy, for sure! You have my promise!

I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science Degrees in Chemistry with a focus in polymer science. I am also currently applying to medical school. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry. Having been a student-athlete in college, with volunteering, physician shadowing, and work commitments, I understand the difficulties with school and struggling with certain subjects. I tutor to help other students learn more, find success in the classroom, and do better for a brighter future.

I love Math and Science. I am a Duke University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, where I also played football and am currently working on a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity. I have always loved math and science and problem solving and these subjects have always been easy for me. I know this is not the case with many people and I have been tutoring since high school. I used to volunteer the local elementary and middle school and also my peers. In college, I helped tutor teammates and family and friends. I was the go to person for math and science when someone needed help even friends siblings at home in different states. Every since I can remember I have always been good at math and enjoyed learning different levels. For tutoring, I have learned to adjust how I tutor based on the needs of the person because everyone learns math different. I currently have a full time job but in my spare time I like being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and animals. My family has a couple cats and a few dogs and I love to go spend time there with them.

Welcome. I enjoy teaching chemistry. Let me know what your questions are and I will do my best to help you answer them. I defended my PhD dissertation in 2019 at the University of Utah, and my MS is from Colorado State University. I've taught at the University of Utah, Whitman College and Walla Walla University, and my classes include general chemistry, organic chemistry and introduction to chemistry. One way for you to become proficient in chemistry is to practice answering questions in tutoring sessions with me. Watching how you respond to a question shows me how much of the problem you already know how to solve, and what parts are still difficult. You try and get through the easier parts, and I'll help you with the hard parts. My goal is to get you 100% independent.
