My time as an undergraduate at Oxford was academically rigorous. We were expected to write several essays each week and present them to our tutors many of whom were world-renowned experts in their fields. It was a true baptism of fire, but one I'm eternally grateful for.

Through this experience, I developed a strong understanding of what makes a great essay. I became adept at editing my own work, as well as that of my peers. This skill has been further honed over my 13-year career in the television industry, where I've written numerous TV pitches, unscripted show episodes, and programme overviews.

In addition to academic support, I offer help with personal statement writing and essay crafting and editing, across a wide range of subjects. My MSc in Forensic Anthropology has given me a solid grounding in biology, genetics, demography, physiology, and both social and physical anthropology.

My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence by recognising what's working well, helping students find their voice, and collaboratively refining the areas that need improvement.

To make the most of our time together, I prefer to receive essays at least an hour before a tutoring session. This allows us to use the session efficiently and work together on developing and polishing the text.
