Certified Tutor

As a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Centre College, I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence. I have over 2 years of experience working with students ages 2-17 of various developmental and learning abilities and needs. I use my background in mental health to tailor my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student. While I have experience tutoring in various subjects including ACT and AP test preparation, I am most passionate about the subject of Creative Writing.

My approach emphasizes understanding concepts rather than rote memorization, helping students connect ideas and express themselves effectively. I am dedicated to guiding students toward academic success and instilling a love for lifelong learning. Learning should be a collaborative and joyful experience, so I aim to learn just as much from my students as they learn from me!

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and exploring different cultures through travel, which enriches my perspective and enhances my teaching. I also spend my free time volunteering in schools and mental health settings, which enables me to better understand the needs of my students.
