Certified Tutor
With over 38 years of teaching and tutoring experience in elementary and middle school math and a doctorate in education, I bring both expertise and passion to helping students succeed in mathematics. I specialize in working with middle school learners, particularly grades 6 through 8, where students often make the critical transition from arithmetic to higher-level math concepts.
My teaching style blends deep content knowledge with a sense of humor that keeps lessons engaging and accessible. I believe that laughter not only breaks down barriers but also helps students feel more confident in tackling challenging problems. My goal is to make math less intimidating and more enjoyable, while equipping students with the skills and strategies they need to thrive.
Currently, I am actively teaching in Georgia, which allows me to stay engaged with the latest educational practices. My commitment to helping students achieve their goals drives my tutoring, and I find joy in witnessing their growth and newfound enthusiasm for learning. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading and exploring educational resources to enhance my teaching methods.
Whether a student needs support catching up, building confidence, or reaching new levels of achievement, I provide personalized guidance that meets them where they are and helps them move forward with success.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family and close friends. I have a very big family so we try to get together as often as we can. I also enjoy going to the movies and watching real crime TV. I enjoy walking for exercise. I enjoy reading murder mysteries and I am a member of a book club. However, we enjoy getting together and hanging out sometimes more than talking about the book.
