As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in Education from Heritage University, I have dedicated over five years to tutoring and teaching in various settings, primarily in Washington state. My experience spans elementary and middle school English and reading, where I thrive on helping students unlock their potential through engaging and innovative methods. I believe that every student can discover their unique voice and think critically, especially in subjects like poetry, which I incorporate to foster creativity and self-expression. My motivation for tutoring stems from the joy of witnessing students grasp new concepts and develop a love for learning, which I strive to nurture in a supportive and dynamic environment. I love hiking and searching for rocks wherever I go! I also love sports and always root for the Mariners and Seahawks! I grew up riding horses, motorcycles and bicycles. The beach in my favorite place but also the mountains and cold streams are fun too! Every day I learn something new and that is exciting to me, and I love learning about what my students find interesting and what is something they have learned, too!
