As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in History and over 10 years of tutoring experience, I strive to foster a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to take ownership of their learning. My specialties include chess, History/Social Studies, Geography, and test taking among others. I believe that education should not be limited to rote memorization; instead, I focus on developing critical thinking skills that enable students to connect concepts across subjects. My approach involves adapting lessons to fit individual learning styles, whether through visual aids, discussions, or hands-on activities. I am dedicated to guiding students through their academic journeys while instilling a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. In my free time, I enjoy playing chess competitively, which further enhances my teaching methods by encouraging strategic thinking and problem-solving.
