As a passionate advocate for student success, I believe that true mastery of a subject goes beyond memorization and requires curiosity, effective learning strategies, and interpersonal skills. My experience as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader at Wayne State University has shown me that when students feel supported and understood, they thrive academically and personally. In that role, I attended lectures to design interactive sessions that reinforced key concepts, provided individual tutoring, and taught effective study strategies to foster independence and confidence among students. Whether in-person or through virtual learning, my goal was always to create an engaging, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
Currently, I am in medical school also pursuing a Master's in Public Health (MPH) at Nova Southeastern University. My undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Health Psychology and Health Care Ethics from Wayne State University. My educational background equips me to tutor subjects including the MCAT, Biology, Statistics, English, and Writing. Biology is my favorite subject to tutor due to its complexity, breadth, and relevance to everyday life. It never stops being exciting to learn and teach.
My teaching philosophy centers on guiding students toward becoming self-reliant learners who feel empowered by knowledge. I tailor my tutoring approach to individual needs, emphasizing clarity, patience, active listening, and concise explanations, all qualities I continuously cultivate as a medical student dedicated to patient care.
By combining academic expertise with genuine enthusiasm for teaching and interpersonal connection, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their highest potential.
