As a rising junior at Vanderbilt University pursuing a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering and Medicine, Health, and Society, I have over two years of tutoring experience that spans from elementary math to advanced college-level STEM subjects. My passion lies in making challenging topics, particularly general chemistry and calculus, more accessible to students. I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where rapport is key; I start each session by gauging my students' feelings and tailoring my approach accordingly. My methodology includes interactive problem-solving and encouraging students to express their understanding, which leads to those rewarding "light bulb" moments. I find immense satisfaction in helping students not only grasp difficult concepts but also develop confidence in their abilities, making learning a fulfilling experience. Outside tutoring, I enjoy engaging in lab work, which enhances my teaching with real-world applications.
