As a passionate educator with over 25 years of experience teaching English and communication across various educational levels, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. I hold a Master's degree in Communication and English from the University of Dayton and have been recognized as an award-winning instructor at Indiana University, the University of Illinois, Longwood University and the University of Dayton. My teaching philosophy centers on engaging students through dialogic communication, encouraging them to explore real-world applications of language and media. I specialize in adult literacy and K-12 English and Communication -- as well as all levels of test preparation -- and I am particularly enthusiastic about helping students develop their persuasive and rhetorical skills. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring literature and media, which continually enriches my classroom discussions. I look forward to the opportunity to empower students on their academic journeys.
