As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina, I have over two years of tutoring experience, specializing in College English, Creative Writing, and Conversational French. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering effective communication and critical thinking skills, which I believe are essential for academic and personal success. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their unique voices in writing. My calm demeanor and patient approach allow me to connect with students of all ages, from high schoolers to adults returning to education. I am particularly motivated by the transformative power of language and the importance of clear communication in today's digital landscape. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring new cultures through travel, which enriches my teaching and allows me to share diverse perspectives with my students.
