Certified Tutor
As a recent Juris Doctor graduate from the University of Michigan, I am dedicated to empowering students through effective writing and legal education.
With over two years of experience working directly with students, including facilitating a youth advocacy program in Detroit, I have honed my ability to connect with diverse learners. Furthermore, through such roles, I have gained ample experience in curriculum development.
My background in social work informs my patient and adaptable teaching approach, allowing me to meet students where they are and tailor my methods to their unique learning styles. I specialize in criminal law, college application essays, and legal writing. My admissions essays from both my undergraduate and law school applications received positive praise from admissions faculty. I'm confident I can help students translate their goals, passion, and experience into an effective admission essay.
Furthermore, I have practical experience in legal writing, criminal law, and appellate law via positions with the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office and the Michigan Supreme Court. I'm confident I can help law students understand fundamental subjects and communicate this knowledge through effective legal writing.
Lastly, I am passionate about all forms of writingwhether it be poetry, short stories, personal narrative, or research papers. I believe that every student has a powerful story to tell, and I strive to help them articulate their thoughts with clarity and confidence. Writing is a vital skill, and I am passionate about guiding students to express their ideas effectively, ensuring they feel competent and empowered in their academic journeys.
