I hold a Bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Virginia, where I specialized in the Japanese language. With a passion for teaching, I have gained experience in tutoring Japanese, particularly in one-on-one settings, and have also worked in a language immersion camp where I taught children in middle and high school. My approach centers on making learning engaging and accessible; I strive to connect with students individually, fostering their confidence and enthusiasm for the language. I utilize various strategies to help students overcome challenges, such as using different methods for vocabulary retention and promoting conversational practice. Additionally, I have a growing proficiency in Korean, which complements my teaching of Japanese. I am dedicated to helping students discover the joy of learning these languages and developing their communication skills.
