Hi there! I'm so glad you're here. I'm a certified English teacher with over 11 years of classroom experience (both traditional and virtual), and I truly love helping students find their voice, build confidence, and feel proud of what they can accomplish. Whether that's writing a strong essay, understanding a tricky text, or simply learning to enjoy reading again, I enjoy becoming part of the support system students need to have a great educational experience.

I have a Master's in Education and have worked with students of all levels, from early readers to AP scholars and English language learners. My approach is tailored to each student's unique needs. I believe learning should feel encouraging, and that with the right support, every student can grow and succeed.

Whether a student needs a boost in reading comprehension, help organizing their writing, or just someone to cheer them on as they tackle new challenges, I'd love to be part of their journey.

Hobbies

Outside of teaching and tutoring, I love spending time with my young son and finding creative ways to make learning fun at home. As a Texas Aggie, I can't wait for college football to begin again. Also, I enjoy reading everything from children’s books to historical fiction, and I’m have a long term goal of writing a picture book inspired by my son’s heritage. I also love hands-on activities like crafts, nature walks, and cooking. Advocating for mental health awareness in young people is near and dear to my heart. So, practicing mindfulness, and helping students build confidence through positive routines are all close to my heart too. I’m passionate about lifelong learning and love connecting with others who are curious and eager to grow.
