Certified Tutor

I am a licensed attorney and currently practice civil litigation. I am most passionate about tutoring in subjects related to the law, as well as helping students prepare for the bar exam. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked as a paralegal for 18 years. I graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in December 2023, earning my JD. During law school, I worked as an Academic Success Fellow, mentoring first-year law students. As a fellow, I conducted small group sessions, one-on-one sessions, and edited draft exam answers. I honed my skills in legal writing and gained additional experience in communicating with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working as an academic success fellow and found it fulfilling to see students improve their grades. I believe that positive feedback, learning through actively participating, and repetition are key to success, not only on the bar exam, but in all areas of learning. I have found that learning is best accomplished through doing and would encourage my students to work actively with me in all tutoring sessions, focusing on areas or topics that the student finds the most challenging. My approach to all tutoring is to show compassion, empathy and understanding. I know first hand how difficult exams are, particularly the bar exam, and believe that students who remain positive and confident do better overall.
