Amy: Chicago Heights tutor
Certified Tutor
My name is Amy Donahue, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Concordia University. I have over 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring various subjects and classes, in the educational, criminal justice, and mental health systems. The students ranged in age from 4 -70. I specialize in phonics and have a passion for fostering reading and writing skills in young learners, particularly those in pre-K through third grade. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and tailoring my approach to their individual needs, ensuring that each child feels supported and empowered to achieve their goals. I find immense joy in watching students grow and discover their potential, and I believe that a strong foundation in literacy sets the stage for lifelong learning.
