I am a graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies with concentrates in Journalism and Political Science. Currently, I am a City Year Columbus Americorp member in Columbus, OH, where I work with students and their relative school districts as a Student Success Coach to promote educational enrichment and accessibility. While I have a range of focus areas for tutoring, my most passionate subjects are English, Writing, and History. I believe that these subjects are crucial to communicating ideas and learning from out past and peers in order to grow as enlightened critical thinkers. With my experience in essay editing and refining, I have always found it best to talk through individuals' main ideas with their writing and guide them through the writing process by helping them stay on task and reframe ideas to allow for cohesive understanding and answering of the prompts given. I firmly believe that education should not be a privilege, but rather a right of the individual, and that the experiences and growth in education will turn the current students of the world today into the future leaders of tomorrow, creating an even stronger and successful generation than the last. Education should not be tied down to a zip code or region, nor should the quality of education be affected by socioeconomic statuses. In my spare time, I like spending time outdoors by going on hikes, reading, and journaling while also listening to music and discovering new cute places to shop, eat, or pass time!
