Certified Tutor

I have many years of tutoring experience, having worked at Mathnasium for almost two years tutoring children in grades K-12 in math and having private tutored an elementary schooler for three years in all subjects. I am a sophomore studying mechanical engineering at the University of Southern California. I tutor in higher level math and physics as well as general K-8 subjects. I love learning and I especially love transferring my love for learning to students through tutoring. I love the process of teaching tutees how to master problem solving, rather than memorizing steps and formulas, so that they can consistently and effectively apply the concepts that they have learned in new ways. My goal is to push students to think about concepts in new ways and give them an understanding of the subjects that they are learning that is deep enough that they can teach the subjects themselves.
