I have a deep passion for helping students achieve their potential in their critical reading and writing skills. In 2019, I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Saint Joseph's University. During that time, I worked as a writing tutor at the university writing center, assisting both undergraduate and graduate students across a wide range of specialities, from introductory essay writing to doctoral dissertations. Alongside three years of professional experience in the publishing industry, I also have experience as an English to Speakers of Other Languages Instructor for a middle school in the Baltimore area through the Teach for America program. Now, I am a fiction candidate at the University of Michigan Helen Zell Writers' Program and will teach Rhetoric and Composition to undergraduates this upcoming fall. I believe that reading and writing comprehension are skills that transcend the classroom and that engaging with deep and thoughtful questions is a key component in becoming an engaged person in the modern world. To me, every student is a good writer, and writing is most fruitful in collaboration. In my spare time, I enjoy playing classical piano and spending time with my two cats, Vincent and Theo.
