I am passionate about helping students as I believe that academic confidence can transform success. Every learner has a different and unique way of thinking and I enjoy the challenge of breaking down complex topics easily understood in a way that feels natural.
I have experiences working with students from different backgrounds and learning styles, including individuals with intellectual disabilities that has allowed me to learn the importance of patience, flexibility, and creativity. I have adapted lessons to fit the interests of the students thus allowing for easy understanding of large scale topics. My main goal is to help student not only build academic skills but self-belief and the ability to trust that they know the concept well to apply it.
I have completed by undergraduate studies in the science and I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. My academic background includes coursework in Biology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Immunology, Physics, Chemistry, and other science related subjects, which I now enjoy tutoring.
My tutoring style is very individualized- I incorporate the use of analogies, visuals, and step-by-step guidance to match the students pace and learning style. I ensure to create a warm, nonjudgemental learning environment where students feel encourages to ask questions and think critically.
