I am passionate about helping students because I believe every student has the desire and ability to learn. It is up to the mentor or instructor to share the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to achieve the students' goals or objectives. My commitment to education stems from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of learning and the role of a mentor in unlocking a student's potential.
My experience working with students is extensive and varied. I teach both in the classroom, leading students through the content by engaging them in the learning process. Additionally, I work side by side, one-on-one with students to help them identify gaps in knowledge or understanding. This dual approach allows me to cater to different learning styles and needs, ensuring that each student receives the support they require to succeed.

I have a solid educational background that underpins my teaching practice. I hold an Associate of Science in Nursing from the College of Southern Maryland, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Education and Leadership. This comprehensive education has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach effectively and inspire confidence in my students.

My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that every student wants to learn. My goal is to work with students to help them not only learn but understand. I strive to create an interactive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. By fostering a collaborative and engaging atmosphere, I aim to make learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Outside of academia, I have a variety of interests that keep me balanced and energized. I love to craft, read, and travel. Additionally, my youngest daughter is a goalkeeper in college, and on most weekends, you can find me on the soccer field cheering for her. These activities provide me with a well-rounded perspective and the ability to connect with students on a personal level.
