Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of John Brown University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis on intercultural studies. I just finished a semester abroad in Oxford where I got to experience British culture and travel around the UK. During my time at JBU, I gained experience tutoring with Student Support Services as well as tutoring students in psychology courses through my role as a teaching assistant. While I have tutored across a variety of general education courses, I am most passionate about teaching psychology and helping students improve their writing abilities. In my experience, students benefit the most from learning how to actively listen in class and ensuring their papers are critically engaging with course content instead of merely summarizing content. I truly believe everyone is built to be a life-long learner and I love helping students discover the learning techniques that work for them.
