Conscientious professional dedicating to educating people of various levels and ages. I graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a Master's degree in computer science. While studying for my Master's degree, I taught Calculus courses to undergraduate students to pay for my education. Since graduation I have worked in various fields, including computer programming, database design, audio-visual productions, editing, financial accounting, and teaching English to Japanese students. More recently, I have been tutoring students in math and reading, although math has always been my passion. Seeing my students grasp concepts and techniques they have felt were too difficult to learn gives me a sense of pride in their efforts as well as giving me a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for being to share my knowledge with them. In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess and backgammon as well as card games with family. More recently, I have gained an appreciation for history as well as current events with emphasis to past events. I feel an interconnection with the past and present as well as looking forward to the future with a pragmatic optimism. I look forward to making new connections and sharing.
