Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! My little students call me Ms. Carla, and my adult students call me Professor Magdamo, but you can call me Carla. I bring almost 20 years of hands-on experience in early childhood education along with a deep commitment to nurturing both children's development and adult learners' professional growth. I currently serve as an Instructor and Instructional Coach at Montgomery College, where I teach and support students in Maryland's accelerated teacher certification program. My work includes creating modules on Child Growth and Developmental Theories, Lesson Planning, Instructional Methods, and Praxis exam preparation. I also coach candidates one-on-one, lead online seminars, and provide personalized feedback to support their journey into the classroom.

In addition to my work with adult learners, I have spent many years directly supporting young children and their families. From designing play-based learning activities as a Lead Teacher to creating child and parent development activities as a Child Development Specialist, I approach every teaching opportunity with patience, creativity, and care. My tutoring style is centered on encouragement, clarity, and meeting learners where they are. With a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University and a lifelong passion for teaching and mentoring, I am here to help aspiring teachers obtain their certifications, or help young children who are struggling with reading and/or writing skills.
