I am a graduate of Hollins University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with various credits in science and history courses. Since graduation, I have been teaching Science, Social Studies, Fundations (phonics), and Health. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about ELA and Science. In my experience helping struggling readers, my students find enjoyment and success in practicing phonics. I am a firm believer that every student can do hard things- and practicing those things that are difficult prepares us for life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, textile arts, and running.
