With nearly two decades of experience in education, I am deeply committed to fostering student growth, academic confidence, and a love of learning. I approach every teaching opportunity with a balance of warmth, patience, and high expectations, believing that strong relationships and successful instruction go hand in hand. My focus has always been on empowering students through critical thinking, effective communication, and meaningful engagement.

Throughout my career, I've taught in a variety of settings- from support classes to college courses- and I have served in leadership roles that emphasize student support, equity, and college and career readiness. I've designed and led programs centered on student voice, social-emotional learning, and inclusive instructional practices. I've also mentored new educators and collaborated on initiatives to improve school culture and academic achievement.

Tutoring through Varsity Tutors allows me to extend that work in a more personalized way. I am passionate about helping students build the skills they need to succeed especially in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I hold a Master's in Teaching and a Bachelor's in English Literature, along with extensive training in student-centered strategies. My goal is always to meet learners where they are, support their growth, and help them realize their full potential. I absolutely LOVE the "lightbulb moment" when students suddenly understand a concept on their own.
