My philosophy on teaching is that I am facilitator of learning, one who empowers another to aim for that which they thought they could not achieve. I am proactive in developing course content, checking relevance and applicability to students.
I have a passion for social work and exude confidence that I am competent to do the task and will lead honestly showing to be reliable. I will not over or under promise to the students regarding what can be achieved and create a clear channel for communication, afford transparency and be open to constructive feedback from students as well.
Student-Centered Approach: I strive to create an atmosphere where each student has a voice to share their opinions, and highlight their strengths. Together we will co-create your learning goals and develop a plan to accomplish them.
Outcome: At the end of each session gain one skill or a new perspective to feel confident on your journey in becoming the social worker you envision.
