Madeline: Antioch tutor
Certified Tutor
As a current paraprofessional in an elementary school and a future certified teacher, I've had the privilege of working closely with students at various stages in their learning journeyfrom early phonics development to middle school academic support on reservations. These experiences have shaped my belief that learning isn't one-size-fits-all; it's a process that blooms when approached with patience, creativity, and compassion.
My background in microbiology and current pursuit of a master's degree and teaching certification in Elementary Education reflect my deep respect for both the science and art of learning. But beyond credentials, what truly drives me is that sparkthe moment when a student's eyes light up because they get it. That breakthrough is why I tutor.
I'm known for my ability to break down complex ideas into simple, digestible steps and to adapt my approach based on each student's unique learning style. Whether through visuals, games, or step-by-step practice, I design learning experiences that meet students where they are. I bring patience, kindness, and a tireless work ethic to every session, and I view adaptability not just as a skill, but as a mindset essential to student success.
Tutoring, to me, is not just about helping students keep upit's about helping them build confidence, curiosity, and the belief that they are capable learners. I would be honored to support your students on that journey.

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time outdoors and staying active. You’ll often find me skiing in the winter, hiking local trails, or out walking my dog. I also enjoy quieter moments—reading a good book, tending to my garden, or spending quality time with friends and family. These hobbies help me recharge and bring a sense of balance, creativity, and calm that I carry into my work with students.
