I'm passionate about helping students because I believe that education creates pathways to develop confidence and creativity while also providing immense opportunity. Watching students grow in their abilities and begin to take pride in their own progress is one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I've had the pleasure of tutoring students from kindergarten through 5th grade, primarily focusing on improving their reading and writing skills.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I currently tutor English, History, and Social Studies, with English being my favorite subject to teach. I love working with students to help them find their voice through writing, improve their reading comprehension, and engage with literature in meaningful ways. I strive to meet each student where they are and tailor my approach to fit their unique learning style. I believe that creating a positive and supportive environment helps students feel more confident and motivated to learn.
