Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Central Washington University, where I majored in Elementary Education and graduated with honors. I hold a Washington state teaching license and an endorsement, or specialization, in Teaching English Language Learners, and I am incredibly passionate about teaching reading and writing at any grade level, especially to speakers of other languages. Presently, I am pursuing a Master of Education in Literacy from Eastern Washington University. Since I have graduated and become a licensed teacher, I've enjoyed tutoring college level English and substitute teaching in multiple school districts across western Washington. I especially enjoy teaching essay writing and seeing how students' writing develops as their skills strengthen and they become more passionate about writing. I believe that education is the key which unlocks doors for students and that my job as an educator is to inspire students to learn and be curious. In my free time, I enjoy running, rock climbing, reading, and crocheting. I am excited to work as your tutor!
