Certified Tutor
With over a decade of combined legal and instructional experience, I bring a student-centered, dynamic approach to education that I believe aligns well with your mission to create an engaging learning environment where students thrive.
Currently, I serve as an adjunct professor at Galen College, where I teach U.S. and Nevada Constitutional Law as well as a first-year Pathways to Success class in which I also serve as Faculty Advisor to these students. In both roles, I develop and deliver accessible course materials, host virtual office hours, and facilitate engaging discussions designed to support student growth and retention. My teaching is marked by responsiveness, academic rigor, and inclusive dialogue elements that I have found are not just essential to student success but that are also highly valued and appreciated by students.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and inclusive pedagogy. I have completed Canvas training and a faculty mentorship program to enhance my remote instruction, and I maintain current knowledge of accessibility standards, routinely collaborating with student support services to ensure ADA compliance. I am also proficient in MS Office and Google applications and have experience with various LMS platforms, including Canvas and Blackboard. My legal background, including my JD from Nova Southeastern University and hands-on experience supporting students preparing for Bar and LSAT exams, has further honed my research, writing, and communication skills, core competencies I bring to every classroom.
My passion for education and dedication to empowering diverse learners is reflected in my teaching philosophy, which is to create a supportive environment, challenge students to think critically, and provide tools for lifelong learning.
