Isabel: Springfield tutor
Certified Tutor
I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Hope College and my Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, where I am currently pursuing a PhD in School Psychology. I have a diverse background working with students and trainees in both educational and clinical settings, having previously served as a special education paraprofessional and as a lead neuropsychology technician at a private practice. Currently, I work with middle school students as a practicum student in a public school and support graduate students as well as a teaching assistant for a cognitive assessment course. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work with diverse learners, tailor instruction to individual needs, and foster academic confidence.
I tutor a range of subjects, but I'm especially passionate about psychology, research methods, and writing. My tutoring style is structured yet flexibleI believe in adapting to each student's learning style while making sessions engaging and approachable. My goal is to help students build confidence in their abilities and make learning just a little more fun along the way!

Outside of academia, I enjoy baking, trying out new recipes (hopefully Chicago gives me more sunshine this summer so I can test out my apartment grill again), and playing card and board games like Solitaire, Rummy, and Catan.
