I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas. I can proudly say I am a Riverbat, a Bobcat, and a Longhorn! As a first-generation college student who attended college as a single parent, I understand many students' challenges in pursuing higher education. I value creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. I am committed to helping students overcome barriers, particularly those from marginalized communities or those navigating multiple responsibilities. Through my own journey, I know firsthand how education can transform lives, and I strive to make that transformation accessible to others. I aim to cultivate a classroom where students develop not only technical skills but also empathy and understanding for the populations they will serve. Mentorship is also central to my approach. I understand the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with students and guiding them through both academic and personal challenges. I am dedicated to helping students feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey.
