My passion for literature started at a very young age. I would devour a book a day and enthusiastically write and illustrate short stories. Those who knew me well were not surprised to learn that I obtained degrees in literature and Education. I have taught English (grades 9-12), elementary school reading and writing, drama (grades 9-12) health (grades 8-10), and English as a second language to both high school students and adults. I live for those moments when I witness my students become invested in a story or fall in love with certain characters. I truly believe every student can succeed. It is all about tapping into each student's unique potential and discovering their learning style.

I have many interests and hobbies. Some are gardening, nature walks, camping, and bird watching. I also love to play Scrabble, read, write, and I'm learning to crochet. My favorite hobby is pen paling! I have 17 pen pals across the United States and we trade stickers, recipes, and post cards!
