As a member of the Board of Director's for the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce, I have been involved with assisting other small business start-ups with business plan development and financial assistance. I have worked as a workshop facilitator for SELF Loan Fund, Inc and employed as a Sr. Business Consultant with the Arizona Minority Business Enterprise Center(AMBEC).

I have been a member of the Board of Director's for the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce, where I served as Chairman of the Economic Development Committee. I am currently a member of the South Mountain Community College President's Advisory Board.

I was born in Texas but I have spent the last 50+ years working in Phoenix, Arizona and Portland, Oregon for Fortune 1000 Companies such as Intel, Honeywell, GE, Motorola, and Burr-Brown (now Texas Instruments). After leaving Avnet Applied Computing here in Phoenix in 2002, I opened my own Transportation Services company McExpress, LLC.

In November 2003, I decided to bring my over 12 years in Distribution Sales and Marketing, over 20 years in selling Computer OEM Systems, and team building skills to the financial arena with WFG - World Financial Group.

My WFG business focused on Family Debt Management and Family Estate Preservation for middle income families. I felt that it is about time someone brought these financial tools and investment opportunities to the many church, local, and civic groups that I was involved with.

In November 2004, The McCartney family opened their first full service small business McExpress Center called Postnet AZ136 at 51st and Baseline Road. These centers supported the community with copy, printing, postal, and shipping services (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL).

I wanted to be a school teacher but realized in college that I would never earn the kind of money I wanted make as a school teacher. However, after retiring from a very financially rewarding career I have been able to give back to my community through community service, education, leadership, and mentoring young students - Track Coach, Soccer Coach, Basketball/Football Coach, Youth Director of my Local Church, and sTutor/Substitute Teacher 7/8th Grades, High School - all grades.
