Lorrie Isham: Plymouth tutor
Certified Tutor
I earned a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from Idaho State University and, after seven years of teaching, pursued a Master's in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Literacy from Lesley University. Throughout my 24 years in elementary and special education, I have been dedicated to designing dynamic learning experiences that cultivate problem-solving, analytical thinking, social collaboration, and creativity. I am passionate about empowering students with a strong foundation and understanding of math, reading, and spelling, equipping them with confidence and skills to excel, adapt, and embrace lifelong learning. Teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging, student-focused environment where learners feel supported and motivated to explore new ideas without judgment. I believe in adapting instruction to meet individual needs, incorporating interactive techniques, and fostering a growth mindset. In both in-person and virtual settings, I create meaningful and engaging learning experiences that empower students.
Outside of teaching, I find energy and inspiration in running, hiking, and exploring the outdoorsexperiences that fuel my creativity and help me connect with students in meaningful ways. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and innovative instruction, I am eager to bring my expertise to a dynamic educational environment where I can inspire, engage, and make a lasting impact.
