Jessica: Melrose Park tutor
Certified Tutor
Having worked in science research and communication at Yale University after graduating from the University of Toronto's Biochemistry program, I found that my favourite part of the job was always teaching, whether that meant explaining complicated science topics to other scientists, or teaching middle-school students for our department's outreach initiative. I have experience individually tutoring several students from the high school to university levels in biology and chemistry. I also have experience mentoring students in academic writing and science study skills over two years as an undergraduate teaching assistant. Through my education and experience, I've developed a true passion for teaching and tutoring, and care deeply about helping students find their path to success in the science learning that has made such a difference in my own life. Science comes with a lot of challenges, but I believe that every student can find the confidence, motivation, and understanding that they need to overcome those challenges and even come to appreciate them, with the right teacher.
