Helping students unlock their potential through learning is a passion of mine. As a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Molecular Genetics and Psychology, I have gained a deep appreciation for how knowledge empowers individuals. My academic journey has fueled my enthusiasm for guiding students through challenging concepts and fostering their confidence in their abilities.
I have extensive experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds, particularly those in the IGCSE and IB diploma programs, as I completed both during high school. I graduated with 7A* across the sciences, math, english, english lit and french in the IGCSE, and a 44 out of 45 points in the IB programme. This firsthand experience and qualification allows me to provide tailored support, helping students navigate the rigor of these curricula. While I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, I am particularly passionate about biology, psychology, and English, including IELTS exam preparation. These subjects not only align with my academic background but also allow me to instill critical thinking and effective study strategies in my students.
My teaching philosophy centers on adaptability, patience, and engagement. I believe that every student learns differently, and my approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into manageable concepts while encouraging active participation. My goal is to create an encouraging and interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity and long-term academic success.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring research in genetics and psychology, reading thought-provoking literature, and engaging in creative writing.

I have a deep passion for life sciences, specifically genetics and psychology, constantly exploring new research and discoveries in these fields. I also enjoy reading fiction, particularly fantasy and thrillers, as they offer a great escape and fuel my imagination. In my free time, I like going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and unwinding with a good Netflix series. I occasionally indulge in creative pursuits like drawing and painting, which allow me to express myself in different ways.
