My goal as a tutor and educator would be to leverage my strategic partnering and business development skills in working to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in various subject areas to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
I have been a long-time mentor and volunteer for K-12 and the university level of students, including P-TECH (Pathways to Technology Early College), IBM Academic Ambassador program (promoting skills at academic institutions), IBM Speed Mentoring (for HBCU students and veterans), and CareerVillage.org.
I have over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry and my diverse career at IBM spanned various industries, showcasing my versatility and adaptability. Experienced IT professional with a strong background in technology management, developer advocacy, and strategic partnerships within a large corporation. I am skilled in project and program management, business development, and quality assurance. Proven ability to drive business outcomes, facilitate innovation, and manage relationships with large multinational clients and partners.
A primary focus of my past roles have been to up-level developer and business-focused storytelling around the products and services offered through content, code, and community engagement.
I have been responsible for leading initiatives that contribute to all stages in a developer's journey through rich storytelling and content for our platform. I have helped developers in interactive, hands-on, in-person, and virtual environments, share knowledge through webinars, talks, educational programs, foster new connections and inspire ideas through live events and code.

Currently active as a board member and leader for Theatre Coppell (community theater), as well as a Library committee (Community Builders), Citizen's Police Academy of Coppell, and Metrocrest Services (service organization). Strong STEM advocate and mentor who co-chaired an annual 4-day STEM Camp for middle school girls each summer (for 12 years). Continues to be a vocal stakeholder in the community, serving on multiple Boards that involve civic, social welfare, and legislative directions for children and others in the community.
