My passion for helping others succeed, both academically and in life, is fundamental to who I am and lies at the heart of my identity. I rediscovered my passion for teaching, a passion that began in high school and continued throughout college and graduate school, where I frequently tutored peers who struggled in math. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I extended my efforts to tutoring children, offering support during a challenging time. The positive impact I have made on my students and their families had inspired me to pursue teaching as a professional endeavor. Over several years, both peers and students have come to me expressing how I've helped them gain confidence in excelling in math. They have shared how I teach in a way that makes learning math highly understandable, where others were unable to succeed. I remember during my study hall period in high school, algebra students from 9th, 11th, and 12th grade students would fill my desks for extra help and I was happy to make the time to dedicate the help needed for each student in those sessions. Students and teachers would request my help for their needs. My dedication to fostering growth and learning in others continues to be my driving force, and I am committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
