Hi! My name is Yosef Bensimon, a chess coach of over 5 years with a strong passion for the game. In our class, I create an atmosphere for kids of all levels to be able to analyze and play, strategize, and have FUN! My vision/mission is to provide students with abilities to improve their daily lives through their enjoyment of chess. I am rated 2000 by USCF and chess.com, and currently studying Finance and Accounting at Yeshiva University. I enjoy working with children since it allows me to be a giver, and giving to others is what makes me the happiest! I can't wait to have fun learning with everyone!

Well, aside from being super passionate about chess, I have a ton of other hobbies that keep life exciting! I’ve been playing the violin for as long as I can remember, performing in concerts and competitions, and I love sharing music with others. I’m also a magician—nothing beats the joy of seeing someone’s face light up after a mind-blowing trick! When I’m not teaching chess or pulling cards out of thin air, I enjoy skiing, swimming, and playing volleyball. I’m also really into finance and trading, always looking for the next big move in the market. And when it’s time to unwind, you’ll probably find me lost in a great fiction book. Can’t wait to share my love for chess and have fun learning together!
