I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I have a Master's degree in Special Education from George Mason University, along with an MBA and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. With over 20 years of experience as a special educator, my passion lies in advocating for my students. I work hard to make sure their IEP accommodations are implemented effectively so they can access the general education curriculum and reach their goals.

I love creating a supportive environment for my students, which is why I started "Lunch Bunch with Ms. Miles"a fun tutoring session during lunch! I also provide academic help before and after school. As an Academic Parent Teacher Team (APTT) Champion, I focus on involving parents in their children's learning journey. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing my special education students thrive and succeed in math throughout the year.

I'm also passionate about education equity and have actively supported the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Along with a fantastic team of educators, I've visited local community organizations and schools to share information about ESSA and its benefits for students. We've held town halls and panel discussions to emphasize the importance of equity in education and how Title II Part A funds can enhance student outcomes.
