I obtained my education from the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and Conestoga College, all in Ontario, Canada. I have experience at the doctoral level and hold two master's degrees in mechanical and mechatronics engineering and a bachelor's degree in mechanical systems engineering as well as a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an option in management science. I've been helping students for more than ten years as a teaching assistant and five years as part time faculty. The courses I've helped with include Electrical and Electronic Foundations, Fluid Power and Mechanics (TA and faculty), Numerical Methods, Linear Algebra, Strength of Materials, Advanced Calculus, and more recently Robotics and Control (faculty). I am currently TA for Linear Algebra in F2024 for a fourth or fifth time and find the subject material easy to navigate. I struggled with this course while in my first undergrad as did many others and so believe it to be a good place to get started tutoring. My teaching style is often hands-on and in-depth to allow achievement of mastery of subject material and I usually turn to the whiteboard or an example to overcome the difficulties. I have been studying for the last twelve years so my hobbies have suffered but the last ones I had included woodworking, motorcycling, and health and wellness. At least what can be achieved in a residential setting and I am used to casual to business casual settings. Notably, I have recently begun tutoring for the FE exam at the EIT and later the PE levels.
