Certified Tutor

I graduated with a BS in Biology from Ball State University in December 2022. During my undergraduate career, I worked for the "Learning Center" at Ball State doing peer tutoring and specific subject drop in sessions. During this time, I came to realize how much I love tutoring and working with students. I am passionate about finding a students specific learning style and working with them until they fully understand what they need to in order to succeed. I love seeing that "Aha" moment when a student finally understands something they have been struggling with. I tutored mainly science related subjects such as various forms of biology, chemistry, and math.

Directly after my graduation, I spent a year and a half serving with AmeriCorps in Knoxville, TN. I worked with their public housing authority as a Food Access Coordinator. My main duties included creating educational materials for residents about food science topics, working with other non-profit organizations to organize food distributions/events, and doing public health research into food insecurity. I really loved getting to know people in the community and educating them on ways to stay healthy.

This past Fall, I started an MPH program at the University of Pittsburgh in Infectious Disease and Microbiology with a focus on eradication, prevention, and laboratory studies. I also work part time for the University as a research assistant in a clinic that collects data for HIV/AIDS research.

In my free time, I enjoy cuddling with my cat, reading, and playing video games. I also have recently gotten into bowling and hope to one day bowl a game over 200.
