As a senior chemistry teacher with more than10 years high school teaching experience, I learned that some students really need help improving themselves, not only in their knowledge but also their ability to solve problems. In fact, the latter is more important. The final goal of teaching is to make students have able to teach themselves. I tried to tutor my students after school by following this philosophy. The result was they all increased their scores and went on to high-quality universities.

I have a research background with a master's degree. It opened my mind to how I can help students start to think creatively in their studies. I discuss the difficulties they are having with them and explain solutions in profound but simple terms. I help them draw inferences point by point to help them understand the essentials completely.

I can teach AP chemistry in English or if you are English-Chinese bilingual, I would be your perfect tutor because my native language is Mandarin.

I am persistent but flexible. Being a good friend with my students is the best reward in my teaching career.
