Certified Tutor

I graduated from University of Houston-Downtown. I have a teaching degree in science and social studies. I am also certified to work with ESL students. I have been teaching professionally for 9 years and tutoring for over 15. I enjoy tutoring reading, writing, math, and science, but my passion is in science, specifically genetics. I love helping students understand their content because I like seeing the a-ha moments when they finally have it click in their heads or when they achieve a goal. I believe in meeting the students in where they are, helping them find their next step, and helping them take the next step on their own. I believe in progress over perfection. In my spare time I like to read, play with my dogs, spend time with my family, and do crafts.
